Worst flood in Indiana since 1913......
This past week we have endured some of the scariest weather I have ever personally seen in my life! Luckily, there have been no fatalities reported, but many families have lost their homes and belongings. Words cannot express how they must feel right now, other than lucky to be alive. Our house wasn't damaged, although the water crept into our backyard, covered our streets, and damaged many surrounding homes, parks, and businesses. This was very sad to watch :( I am posting pictures of the local damage we saw.

PinkFest 2008-Shopping for the Cure!!!
I am SUPER excited to share this with everyone! This year, my cousin and I decided to put together a Vendor fair to support Breast Cancer. We originally threw around the idea of hosting our own craft fair-it is always a pain to search out the best ones each year. Then the wheels started turning, and then there was smoke haha! We decided to gear it towards Breast Cancer. It only made sense at that point, with my mother(and her Aunt) being a Survivor, to do this. And I am SO glad we did-the response we have gotten from all over the world has been utterly amazing!!! From donations of handmade goods, to people just offering to help however they can, we are starting to build this amazing group of supportive people, all working towards a wonderful heartfelt cause.
So what IS PinkFest you ask? PinkFest will consist of approx. 90 vendors offering their goods for sale on Sunday Nov. 2nd, 2008 at Tori's Station in Fairfield OH. You will find everything from Handmade arts, crafts, jewelry, home decor, scrapbooking and memory preservation to almost any Direct Sales Company you could think of. There will be a vast array of goodies to find that perfect gift for everyone on your list, including yourself ;)
Along with the many wonderful vendors displaying their goods for your purchase, there will also be over 100 awesome Raffle Items to be won! From super cute purses/handbags, handmade dolls, blankets, pillows, jewelry to children's items and more!
But you won't want to show up late to this event-the first 100 people through the door will get a special Goodie Bag filled with promos, samples, products, special offers and more!!! Don't miss this!
For more information, a complete list of vendors, and a sneak peek at the Raffle Items, please visit www.cincypinkfest.com
